closed-captioned
With readable dialogue
Closed-captioned describes video content that includes text subtitles displaying dialogue and sound effects, viewable by activating a setting on the screen.
Unlike open captions, which are always visible, closed captions can be turned on or off: The broadcast is closed-captioned for the hearing impaired.
The feature originated for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers but is now widely used in noisy environments or when watching without sound.
