clay masks
Earthen skin treatments
Clay masks are skincare products applied to the face to absorb oil, draw out impurities, and tighten pores.
The clay—typically bentonite, kaolin, or French green—dries on the skin and is rinsed off after several minutes.
I do a clay mask once a week when my skin feels oily.
Unlike sheet masks or cream masks, clay masks work by pulling rather than infusing.
