class clowns
Disruption for laughs
Class clowns are students who habitually joke around and disrupt lessons for laughs.
The term captures both affection and exasperation—class clowns entertain their peers but frustrate teachers.
The role often masks intelligence, insecurity, or boredom: Every class has its class clown.
Some grow into comedians; others just grow up.
