goody two-shoes
Annoyingly virtuous person
A goody two-shoes is someone who is smugly or annoyingly virtuous—a person who makes a show of being good, often to win approval from authority.
The term is almost always pejorative: Don't be such a goody two-shoes.
It suggests priggishness rather than genuine moral character.
Also spelled goody-two-shoes.
