A city loop is a railway or transit line that circles through a downtown area, allowing passengers to access multiple central stations without backtracking.
The term is most associated with Melbourne's underground rail circuit, but applies to similar urban transit configurations elsewhere: Take the city loop to Flagstaff Station.
