citrus greening
Orchard bacterial blight
Citrus greening is a bacterial disease that devastates citrus trees, causing fruit to remain small, misshapen, and bitter.
Spread by a tiny insect called the Asian citrus psyllid, it has no cure and has destroyed citrus groves across Florida and other growing regions.
Infected trees eventually die.
Also called Huanglongbing or HLB.
