circlejerk
Self-congratulatory group agreement
A circlejerk is a group activity where men stand in a circle masturbating, often while stimulating one another.
The term is more commonly used figuratively to describe a gathering or online space where people validate each other's opinions without challenge or self-awareness: That subreddit is just a circlejerk.
The implication is mutual gratification without productive outcome.
Also spelled circle jerk.
