cinnamon stick
Rolled bark spice
A cinnamon stick is a curl of dried bark from the cinnamon tree, used whole to flavor liquids like cider, tea, or mulled wine.
Unlike ground cinnamon, sticks release flavor slowly and can be removed after steeping: She stirred her coffee with a cinnamon stick.
They also appear as decorative garnishes in warm drinks.
