chaotic good
Helpful but unpredictable
Chaotic good is one of nine moral alignments in Dungeons & Dragons, describing someone who values freedom and kindness but rejects rules and authority.
A chaotic good character does the right thing their own way—Robin Hood stealing from the rich, a vigilante bypassing corrupt systems.
The term has spread beyond gaming to describe anyone whose ethics prioritize helping others over following conventions: She's chaotic good—she'll break every rule to protect you.
