cavalcade
Parade on horseback
A cavalcade is a procession of people traveling together, originally on horseback but now more commonly in vehicles.
The word retains its sense of ceremonial movement and spectacle: The president's cavalcade wound through the city streets.
By extension, cavalcade can refer to any impressive succession or series: a cavalcade of stars, a cavalcade of hits from the 1980s.
