catpeople

Those loving cats

Catpeople are fictional humanoids combining human and feline features—typically human bodies with cat ears, tails, fur, or slit pupils.

The concept appears across mythology, fantasy, and especially anime and manga, where catgirls (nekomimi in Japanese) are a common character type.

In broader usage, catpeople can simply mean cat enthusiasts: I've always been catpeople rather than dog people.
