cakewalks

Wins without effort

Cakewalks are tasks or competitions so easy they require little effort to win or complete.

The word comes from a nineteenth-century dance competition where the prize was a cake—the steps were simple enough that winning seemed effortless.

The first few levels are cakewalks, but it gets harder.

The verb cakewalk means to accomplish something with ease: She cakewalked through the interview.
