brillo pads
Soapy metal scrubbers
Brillo pads are steel wool cleaning pads, typically infused with soap, used for scouring pots and pans.
The brand name has become generic for any abrasive scrubbing pad: I need to get some brillo pads for these burnt pans.
The coarse, tightly curled texture sometimes appears in descriptions of very curly hair.
