braille reader

Fingertip text device

A braille reader is a device that converts digital text into braille, allowing blind or visually impaired users to read with their fingertips.

Most are refreshable displays with rows of pins that rise and fall to form braille characters as the user navigates text.

The term also refers to a person who reads braille.
