bit rate
Transmission speed measure
Bit rate is the amount of digital data transmitted or processed per unit of time, typically measured in bits per second (bps) or multiples like kilobits, megabits, or gigabits per second.
Higher bit rates generally mean better quality for audio and video: The streaming service offers higher bit rates for premium subscribers.
In audio encoding, bit rate determines how much data represents each second of sound—128 kbps sounds noticeably worse than 320 kbps.
