exploits

Bold heroic acts

Exploits works in two directions.

As a noun (with stress on the first syllable), exploits are bold or daring deeds—adventures worthy of recounting: His wartime exploits became legendary.

As a verb (stress on the second syllable), to exploit is to make use of something, often unfairly or selfishly: The company exploits cheap labor overseas.

In computing, an exploit is code that takes advantage of a software vulnerability.
