bonded pair
Two joined together
A bonded pair is two animals with a strong emotional attachment to each other, typically used in animal rescue and adoption contexts: The shelter won't separate bonded pairs.
The term appears most often with cats, dogs, or rabbits who have formed deep companionship and show distress when apart.
Adopters are encouraged to take both animals together.
