blood vials
Crimson collection containers
Blood vials are small tubes used to collect and store blood samples for medical testing.
They come in different colors indicating which additives they contain—purple tops have anticoagulant, red tops allow clotting.
Outside medicine, blood vials appear in fiction and subcultures: vampires keep them, couples exchange them as tokens of devotion, and they're sold as novelty jewelry.
