blood spatter
Forensic droplet pattern
Blood spatter is the pattern of blood droplets distributed across a surface after impact or injury.
Forensic investigators analyze blood spatter to reconstruct violent events—the direction, force, and type of wound that produced it: The blood spatter indicated the victim was struck from behind.
