bleu
Parisian sky color
Bleu is the French word for blue, appearing in English primarily in culinary contexts.
Bleu cheese (or blue cheese) gets its name from the blue-green veins of mold running through it.
Cordon bleu refers to a dish of meat stuffed with ham and cheese, or more broadly to cooking of the highest standard—from the French for "blue ribbon." In steak preparation, bleu describes meat cooked very rare, merely seared on the outside and essentially raw within.
