benefit concert
Music for cause
A benefit concert is a musical performance staged to raise money for a charitable cause or specific recipient.
The proceeds from ticket sales—and often merchandise and donations—go to disaster relief, medical expenses, or organizations rather than to the performers.
They organized a benefit concert for earthquake victims.
