bearcats
Shaggy tree climbers
A bearcat is an Asian mammal also called a binturong—a shaggy, tree-dwelling creature that smells like buttered popcorn.
The word also names a fierce or aggressive person, once common slang for someone formidable or spirited: She's a real bearcat.
Bearcats is the mascot name for several American sports teams, most notably the University of Cincinnati.
