backyard cricket
Lawn bat game
Backyard cricket is an informal version of cricket played in yards, parks, or streets, common in Australia, New Zealand, and other cricket-loving countries.
The rules are loose and improvised—six and out if you hit it over the fence, one hand one bounce catches count, the wheelie bin serves as stumps.
It's recreational rather than competitive, often played at family gatherings and barbecues.
