private viewings
Invitation-only exhibitions
Private viewings are appointments to see property, artwork, or other items away from public access or competing buyers.
Real estate agents arrange private viewings for serious buyers: We scheduled a private viewing of the house for Saturday.
Galleries offer private viewings to collectors before public exhibitions open.
The term also applies to funeral home visits where family views the deceased before or instead of a public service.
