armholes
Sleeve attachment points
Armholes are the openings in a garment through which the arms pass or to which sleeves are attached.
The fit of armholes affects both comfort and range of motion—too tight and movement is restricted, too loose and the garment gaps awkwardly.
This jacket's armholes are cut too high.
In sewing, armhole placement and size are critical fitting points that often require adjustment.
