announcer booth
Commentator's glass room
An announcer booth is a small enclosed space, usually elevated and glassed-in, where broadcasters call sporting events or other live entertainment.
The booth provides a clear view of the action while isolating commentators from crowd noise: The camera cut to the announcer booth for replay analysis.
Also called a broadcast booth or press box, though press boxes may house writers as well as broadcasters.
