ambulance drivers
Siren vehicle operators
Ambulance drivers are the personnel who operate emergency medical vehicles, transporting patients to hospitals or other care facilities.
The term is somewhat dated—modern emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics both drive and provide medical care, making "ambulance driver" sound reductive to those in the profession: Don't call them ambulance drivers; they saved his life.
