alt tab
Program-hopping shortcut
Alt-tab is the keyboard shortcut for switching between open windows on a computer, executed by holding the Alt key while pressing Tab.
The action has become shorthand for quickly changing what's on screen, especially to hide something: I alt-tabbed out of the game when my boss walked by.
As a noun, it refers to the window-switching interface itself.
