alts
Extra online identities
Alts is the plural of alt, short for alternative.
The word appears across digital contexts: alt accounts are secondary social media profiles, often anonymous or for separating personas; alts in gaming are backup characters distinct from a player's main.
In cryptocurrency, altcoins (alts) are any coins other than Bitcoin: I'm holding some alts.
The fitness world uses alts for alternative exercises.
