alloy rim
Lightweight car wheel
An alloy rim is a wheel rim made from a mixture of metals—typically aluminum combined with nickel, magnesium, or other elements—rather than plain steel.
Alloy rims are lighter, dissipate heat better, and are considered more attractive than steel alternatives: The car came with alloy rims as a standard feature.
