Adzukis is the plural of adzuki, a small reddish-brown bean cultivated throughout East Asia.
Adzuki beans are slightly sweet and commonly used in Japanese and Chinese desserts, especially red bean paste for fillings in pastries and ice cream: The mochi was filled with sweetened adzukis.
