adult leagues
Mature player organizations
Adult leagues are organized sports competitions for participants beyond school or college age, typically recreational rather than professional.
The term distinguishes these from youth leagues and implies a casual atmosphere where former athletes or newcomers can play: She joined an adult softball league after her kids started school.
Most adult leagues emphasize fun and fitness over intense competition.
