Yahoo!

Cry of excitement

Yahoo! is a pioneering internet company founded in 1994, originally a web directory that became one of the first major web portals.

At its peak, Yahoo! offered search, email, news, and other services that defined early internet culture.

The exclamation point is part of the official name.

The company's prominence faded as Google and social media rose, though Yahoo Mail and other services persist.
