WTO is the World Trade Organization, an international body that regulates trade between nations.

It establishes rules for global commerce, resolves trade disputes, and negotiates agreements to reduce tariffs and other barriers: The WTO ruled against the country's import restrictions.

Founded in 1995, it replaced the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT).
