Fiscal policy board

An economic council is a government body or advisory group that coordinates economic policy, monitors financial conditions, and makes recommendations on fiscal matters.

Most countries have some form of economic council advising their executive leadership: The president met with the economic council to discuss inflation.

Such councils typically include economists, finance officials, and sometimes private sector representatives.
