Triumvirate
Three sharing power
A triumvirate is a group of three people who share power or authority.
The term originated with Roman political alliances—notably the coalition of Caesar, Pompey, and Crassus—but now applies to any ruling trio or influential threesome: The company was run by a triumvirate of founders.
The word carries a sense of formal or uneasy power-sharing, often with competing interests among the three.
