Trapper Keeper
Velcro school binder
A Trapper Keeper is a brand of loose-leaf binder with folders, pockets, and a Velcro flap closure, popular among American schoolchildren especially in the 1980s and 1990s.
The folders "trap" papers to keep them organized.
The product became iconic enough that the name sometimes refers generically to any similar school binder: I need to get a new Trapper Keeper before school starts.
