Tally

Short for Natalie

Tally is a count or record of items, points, or occurrences: The final tally showed twelve votes in favor.

Originally a notched stick used to keep accounts, the word now applies to any running total.

To tally is to count up or to match: The numbers don't tally with what you told me.

A tally mark is a stroke used for counting in groups of five.
