Singha is a Thai beer brand, the country's oldest and most recognizable lager, named after the mythical lion figure in Thai and South Asian iconography.
The golden lion logo appears throughout Thailand on bottles, signs, and merchandise.
Outside Thailand, Singha often serves as shorthand for Thai beer generally: We ordered pad thai and a couple of Singhas.
