Shinzo Abe
Shinzo Abe was a Japanese politician who served as Prime Minister of Japan longer than anyone in the country's history, holding office from 2006 to 2007 and again from 2012 to 2020.
His economic policies became known as "Abenomics," combining monetary easing, fiscal stimulus, and structural reform.
A conservative nationalist, he sought to revise Japan's pacifist constitution and strengthen the military.
He was assassinated during a campaign speech in 2022.
