Say Anything

Kickboxer loves valedictorian

Say Anything is a 1989 romantic comedy film that became a touchstone for Generation X, best remembered for the iconic scene where John Cusack's character holds a boombox over his head outside his love interest's window.

The image has become shorthand for grand romantic gestures: He went full Say Anything outside her apartment.

The film's title also spawned an American rock band formed in 2000.
