Sarah Vaughan

Sarah Vaughan (1924–1990) was an American jazz singer renowned for her rich, operatic voice and extraordinary range.

Known as "Sassy" and "The Divine One," she ranks among the greatest jazz vocalists alongside Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday.

Her technical mastery allowed her to treat her voice as an instrument, bending notes and improvising with the freedom of a horn player.
