Sabbath school
Weekend religious education
Sabbath school is religious education held on the Sabbath, typically for children but sometimes for all ages.
The term is used primarily by Seventh-day Adventists, who observe Saturday as the Sabbath, and historically by other Protestant denominations.
It parallels Sunday school but reflects different Sabbath observance: The children went to Sabbath school while adults attended the main service.
