PIN entry
Typing secret numbers
PIN entry is the act of typing a personal identification number into a keypad, typically to authorize a transaction or access a secure system.
At checkout, you might be asked debit or credit? —choosing debit requires PIN entry.
The term also refers to the keypad device itself: The PIN entry was mounted on the counter.
