Our Town
Small-town American drama
Our Town is Thornton Wilder's 1938 play depicting daily life and death in the fictional small town of Grover's Corners, New Hampshire.
Performed with minimal sets and a Stage Manager who narrates directly to the audience, it became emblematic of idealized American small-town existence.
The phrase now evokes nostalgic simplicity: The campaign ad was pure Our Town imagery.
