Oriole
Camden Yards athlete
Two different types of songbird are called oriole.
The New World orioles are members of the blackbird family and are found in North America, while Old World orioles are members of a different family and are found in Africa, Asia, and Australia.
Both types of oriole are usually characterized by a yellow or orange body with black plumage.
The name of the baseball team, the Baltimore Orioles, is based on the fact that the mascot resembles the New World oriole.
