Nogales
Arizona-Sonora border city
Nogales is a name shared by two adjacent cities on the US-Mexico border—one in Arizona, one in Sonora.
The twin cities function as a single metropolitan area divided by the international boundary, making Nogales synonymous with border crossing and cross-cultural exchange: We crossed at Nogales.
The name comes from Spanish for "walnut trees."
