A Nehru jacket is a hip-length tailored coat with a standing collar that buttons to the neck, without lapels.
Named after Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who favored the style, it became fashionable in Western menswear during the 1960s: He wore a Nehru jacket to the gallery opening.
