Moviefone
Theater schedule service
Moviefone was a telephone service providing recorded movie showtimes and theater information, widely used in the United States before the internet era.
Callers heard listings read in an enthusiastic voice that became culturally iconic: Hello, and welcome to Moviefone!
The service peaked in the 1990s and declined as online ticketing replaced phone-based information.
