Moroccan tea
Mint-steeped Casablanca drink
Moroccan tea is mint tea prepared in a traditional North African style—green tea steeped with fresh spearmint leaves and generous amounts of sugar, then poured from a height to create a frothy top.
The tea is served in small decorated glasses and offered as a gesture of hospitality: We sat in the riad while our host prepared Moroccan tea.
Also called Maghrebi mint tea.
